Contributed to the design of a petrochemical plant to produce di-methyl ether; designed a vapour-liquid separator incorporating a two-stage cooling system with dual heat exchangers to condense 99% of the molar volume of methanol from a 700°C vapour product stream, and separate the liquid from the non-condensable gas. The design phase included an economic analysis of capital and utility costs and process optimisation to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Additionally, created a PNID and conducted a HAZOP to ensure all safety issues were identified and addressed effectively.

This included gathering ideas from the camp team, proposing scientific and environment-based topics, and leading daily end-of-day meetings for continuous improvement.
